For this important phase in your life, coaching is an essential step to help build confidence. We have professionals who will train you for an interview to make sure you are ready for the first step. We also offer different services to help you build your resume!
Upskilling
Our expert team at Cosmos works together with our participants to upgrade their skills or teach them new skills so they can build on their skillset.
We specifically work in a safe environment, building communication and teamwork skills so our participants can work safely and communicate well in new environments. We will continue working with you until you secure a permanent job.
Higher Education Opportunities
Cosmos is proud of being one of the leading providers of higher education opportunities for NDIS participants who have specific educational goals in their plan.
If you are struggling with university applications or can’t find the best educational options, we can definitely assist you to research the universities that suit you. We can also help you to find a place that accommodates people living with a disability.
Specialised Supported Employment
NDIS participants who have ‘Support in Employment - Specialised supported employment’ in their NDIS plan, can access this service through Cosmos. This support is specifically designed for participants who are employed and less independent in performing their work tasks.
The supports provided by Cosmos individually or in groups include:
- On the job assessments related to safety and the impact of disability on ability to work
- Job customisation
- On-the-job training
- Support with work tasks
- Physical assistance and personal care at work
- Supports to manage disability-related behaviour or complex needs
Our Specialised Supported Employment
Cosmos has a program that has been put together by our expert team and health professionals to support you to:
- Safely continue your work
- Continue going to work independently
- Access additional coaching to be able to operate in the workplace to:
- help you to stay focused
- Assist you with communication
- Support you with managing behaviour
